A New Field 2019 — | Foraging, biomaterials, technology

A new field marries foraging, biomaterial science and digital manufacturing to create experiences where participants gather abundant natural materials, process them in a mobile ‘lab’ and use emerging manufacturing tools to create plastic-free products.

Assemble & Join, 2011 — 2015 | Community Micro Manufacturing

A collaborative community workshop in a re-purposed cafe. Using digital manufacturing, local people were invited to design, develop and implement physical changes to the public realm in and around Lower Marsh, Waterloo, London.

A&J also offered the chance to learn and develop new skills through work experience opportunities for local people interested in contemporary manufacturing techniques. A&J was a precursor to Makerversity.
