Eat This: Edible Ballot Papers

image

Eat This is an award winning response to the Design Council RED Team’s study assessing the role design plays in nurturing citizenship.

Part of the study, entitled ‘Touching the State’ asked designers and innovators to suggest ways in which ‘The State’ could be more approachable. Eat This is a proposal for voters to be given edible ballot papers at polling stations.

The chosen candidate is saved and the unwanted candidates are consumed, thus making the voting process an interactive and empowering experience.
